I recently graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University with a Bachelors of Applied Arts in Psychology with Honours. I am now working as a Behavioural Interventionist at Monarch House Autism Center where I apply positive behaviour support (Applied Behaviour Analysis) to children with autism under the age of six. Additionally, I facilitate a support group at the Lower Mainland Purpose Society in their health and wellness program for marginalized individuals living with Hepatitis C and HIV. This volunteer work has inspired me to apply to the Master of Public Health (MPH) programs in British Columbia. My ultimate goal is to advocate for marginalized populations, specifically through the development and improvement of prevention and intervention policies that can reduce inequalities in our health care system.
