BA Psychology

Hindsight bias, false memory, neuropsychology, psychopharmacology, and sexuality

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with distinction in October of 2012. I am involved with the Human Sexuality Lab at Kwantlen Polytechnic University where we are currently investigating gender and sexuality matters. Our goal is to try to dispel certain myths, as well as to lessen stigmas. My designated role in the lab is to execute literature reviews and to write on specific research topics. I am currently employed with Cheshire Homes Society of British Columbia where I work with individuals who live with acquired brain injuries (ABI). I assist in the empowerment of individuals to take control over their lives, as well as guide and encourage them to move toward independence in their homes and within their community. I am immensely passionate about helping individuals attain an optimal quality of life and subjective well-being. I have recently applied for Graduate studies in Occupational Therapy as this particular field aligns with my attitudes, beliefs and passions.
